Adam Kimberly, PT, DPT, OCS

Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Ohio University, where the subject of his research was temporomandibular joint capsule anatomy. He is a clinical rehab manager in Cleveland, Ohio and has practiced in outpatient hospital-based Physical Therapy since 2009.  He instructs for his clinic’s orthopedic residency and is a resident mentor. Adam is a board-certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics (OCS) since 2012 and became certified in Dry Needling with ODNS in 2015.  Since that time he has worked as an assistant instructor, and now teaches ODNS courses throughout the United States.

Jacqueline Doidge, PT

Jackie trained in Canada, Jackie has worked as a physical therapist for 46 years specializing in orthopaedics, chronic pain, manual therapies and since 2018, pelvic rehab. She lived in South Africa from 1983 to 1993, and began studying dry needling and medical acupuncture with Claire Waumsley in 1985. Jackie spent 5 years as a lecturer with the University of Cape Town teaching manual techniques, including trigger point therapy, to physiotherapy undergraduates. She has studied superficial dry needling under Dr. Peter Baldry and IMS with Dr. Chan Gunn. For the past 26 years, she has lived in Tucson, Arizona, and has helped to bring dry needling to a large hospital system there. She began bringing ODNS lecturers to teach dry needling courses in the US in 2013, and began teaching the ODNS courses in 2015. Since that time she has taught throughout the US, in Kenya, Oman, UAE, Romania and Bulgaria. ODNS partners with IAOM-US to present their courses in North America; Jackie is a faculty member with IAOM-US and has taken the lead in bringing dry needling to practitioners in the US

Claire Horn, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT

Claire completed her BSc Physiotherapy degree at the University of Cape Town, South Africa (1989), and shortly after this, as a “Junior” at Groote Schuur Hospital was fortunate to have Claire Waumsley and Jackie Doidge as her instructors and received training in Acupuncture concepts and Intramuscular Dry Needling Techniques. Claire traveled to the USA in 1993, pursued Residency training in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (Kaiser Hayward 1996), was admitted as a Fellow of AAOMPT, and completed the OCS via the APTA in 1998. Further study included: Master in Health Science at Pacific University, OR (2002); a transitional DPT from the University of Montana Missoula (2012); Dry Needling Practitioner Certification (2012) and a postgraduate diploma in Interdisciplinary Pain Management from the University of Cape Town (2017). Claire Returned to South Africa in 2001 and taught OMT concepts to postgraduate students for the South African Society of Physiotherapy and the University of Stellenbosch. She assisted on Dry Needling courses with ODNS, SA. Claire used intramuscular dry needling extensively in her Physiotherapist practice for 20 years in Franschhoek, South Africa. She has found it to be an essential component of Manual therapy treatment and an invaluable adjunct in treating patients with Neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Claire returned to the USA in 2019 and currently lives and works in Olympia, WA. as Faculty to St. Peter’s Family Medicine Residency program, teaching Family Medicine Residents the essentials of Musculoskeletal Medicine in a Primary Care clinic setting. 

Melissa Lodhi, PT, ScD, OCS, ATC, COMT

Melissa is currently employed in the Military environment in Annapolis, Maryland. She received her BS degree in Athletic Training from Eastern Kentucky University in 1994 followed by duel Master degrees in Education 1997 from Old Dominion University and MEd in Physical Therapy degree in 2002 from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She commissioned as a Navy Physical Therapist in 2002 serving at various commands as well as deployed on the USS Eisenhower as Battle Group Physical Therapist and continues to serve today in US Navy Reserves. She is a board-certified Clinic Specialist in Orthopedic since 2005 and initially certified in Dry Needling by Myopain Seminars in 2008 and then by ODNS in 2018. In 2012 she completed her IAOM certification for Spine and received her ScD in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2013. Melissa is involved as a faculty instructor for IAOM-US and Mentor/Instructor in the Orthopedic Residency program. She continues further educational endeavors to include assistant teaching of dry needling with ODNS as well as performing her own Fellowship training/education with the IAOM-US.
